Self-care is Key

If you don't have enough emotional and physical energy for yourself, how can you successfully provide it to others?

There are many myths about self-care for example,  some individuals may find it to be acts of  'selfishness'; 'overindulgence'; 'quick 'dopamine hits' (i.e., instant gratification), 'overspending on luxuries' (i.e., lavish holidays, clothes, jewellery etc). 
However, self-care is a healthy way to allow yourself to find an optimal balance between your emotional, social and physical well-being and finding the time to rejuvenate yourself through things such as, eating and sleeping well, meditating, knowing your boundaries, listening to your favourite music while having a walk, run, swim or whatever relaxation may look like to you. Self-care not only allows an overall energy reboot, it allows you to have the energy for others around you.
